About the Opportunity

“This is an onsite position that can be based at any of our locations in Mexico; remote work is not available”
This role is part of the Global Agronomy Tech Transfer team, focusing on translating business unit needs into practical knowledge and technology solutions to enhance Organic berry production globally. The position requires close collaboration with agronomy, research, nursery, and production teams to foster knowledge sharing, standardize best practices, and drive innovation across regions.


Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the organic and blueberry programs
  • Build strong relationships with global nursery, agronomy, and applied research teams.
  • Identify and fill knowledge gaps through training and collaboration.
  • Promote the adoption of sustainable growing methods, automation, and efficiency improvements.
  • Facilitate the deployment of technologies and best practices to growers worldwide.
  • Plan and conduct international travel (approx. 40%) to visit operations, meet teams, and support knowledge transfer.
  • Prepare and share detailed reports after visits.
  • Maintain understanding of proprietary genetics, breeding programs, and global production systems.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and protection of confidential information.

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Horticulture, Horticultural Science, Agronomy, or Ag Business Management or related field, or equivalent experience in production management.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in organic production
  • Desirable experience in the soft fruit industry.
  • Advanced English required
  • Strong business knowledge of fruit production and nursery activities, production management, agronomy, grower economics, research, product quality/food safety, and customer service.
  • A proven ability to identify, focus, and prioritize key tasks.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally
  • Strong facilitation and training skills
  • Assertive
  • Excellent written and communication skills and ability to distil complex issues down into palatable and usable information.
  • Must use sound judgment with the ability to recognize and act upon good ideas, at times making competent decisions in a fast-moving strategic environment.
  • Travel availability: average 1 week per month
  • Drivers license
