About the Opportunity

Carry out Production Management responsibilities for the assigned region. Serve as the company’s main link with growers, ensuring effective communication, implementation, and execution of the strategic plan through monitoring, oversight, and compliance with the agricultural activities required to achieve production objectives.


Responsibilities

  • Conduct field visits to collect production data.

  • Communicate and ensure that required agricultural practices defined by Driscoll’s (planting, pruning, etc.) are properly implemented at each farm.

  • Act as a liaison among different areas (nurseries, growers, quality, etc.).

  • In new plantings, inspect plant quality, conduct plant mortality counts, collect agronomic data, and measure replanting needs.

  • Prepare reports on the progress and results of new plantings.

  • Collaborate with the forecasting team to generate 1- and 3-week forecasts.

  • Report situations (weather conditions, pest or disease pressure) that may impact production volume or timing.

  • Communicate the strategic plan to growers.

  • Develop business plans with growers.

  • Evaluate grower profitability.

  • Support the collection of Grower Economics information.

  • Participate in visits to other regions and host visits from personnel from other areas.

  • Support technology transfer and innovation.

  • Improve basic agricultural practices.

  • Diagnose pests and diseases.

  • Provide training and development in production systems.

  • Monitor and follow up on new varieties.

  • Diagnose agronomic improvement opportunities for growers under responsibility.

  • Work closely with quality teams to ensure crops meet required standards.

  • Attend training sessions and industry conferences.


Candidate Profile

  • Required education level: Bachelor’s degree

  • Field of study: Agronomy or related discipline

  • Required work experience: 1 to 3 years in similar roles

  • Areas of experience: Operations, agronomy, plant physiology, nutrition, pests and diseases, etc.
